If you’re planning to travel outside of your home country, Spirit offers some helpful tips for managing your Spirit flight bookings. If you have a domestic flight booked and need to change your return trip due to an emergency or inclement weather, there’s a separate request form for changing one leg of a domestic reservation. You can also get in touch with their Customer Service Spirit Airlines team by phone at 888-678-0392 if you don’t want to use their online chat option. The best time to contact them is weekdays between 7:00 AM and 10:00 PM Eastern Standard Time. You may also want to keep in mind that travelers under 12 years old aren’t allowed on flights more than five hours long (this includes connecting flights).
Get Help if You’re Traveling Internationally
As of November 2014, Spirit Airlines has banned all international calls on their mobile app. This means that you cannot use your mobile app to call other countries from within or outside of the U.S. However, if you are traveling internationally, you can still get help via SMS message by texting SVCARE to 77777. According to their Spirit Airlines website, here is a list of examples: my flight is canceled/delayed, I am stuck in customs and can’t Spirit check in online, and I lost my bag.
