Bhagsu, now known as Dharamshala is located in Kangra valley in Himachal Pradesh.

KANGRA FORT

Kangra fort is situated near Dharamshala at a distance of 20km. This place is located in the Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh. Kangra fort is known as the largest fort in the Himalayas. Kangra Fort is the oldest fort which is known for its 21 treasure wells and each well is 4 meters deep. If you want to know Indian history better then you must visit the Maharaja Sansar Chand Museum which is located on the backside of this Fort.  Kangra Fort is a perfect picturesque place.  

It is believed that this Fort was built by the Maharaja Sushrma Chandra 3500 years ago. This was a Katoch royal family and Maharaja Sushrma had built Kangra Fort. Maharaja Susarma fought in Mahabharata with Kauravas. When Kauravas defeat Maharaja Susram returns back to Kangra with his soldiers. Along with soldiers he took Trigarta under his control and built this Fort for their protection of the Kingdom.  

NAGGAR

Naggar is situated  217 km away from Dharamshala in the Kullu district near the Beas river. Not many people know about this ancient town. Naggar can be reached within the driving distance of 220 km from Dharamshala. Naggar has virgin villages, surrounding Kasol.  Once you reach Naggar you could not miss exploring the rural exquisiteness of this village. Naggar is a great attraction for tourists. These attractions are the International Roerich memorial trust, Naggar castle, and Gauri Shankar temple. 

This offbeat location is a perfect treat for the tourist crowd who come to Kullu Manali. This ancient masterpiece was built in 1460 AD.

DALHOUSIE 

This most visited hill station is known for its building, churches, and various natural attractions.

Dalhousie is located within the distance of 120  km from Dharamshala and 6400feet above sea level.  If you are an adventure junkie, This place has something to offer you such as Paragliding, Chamera lake for Boating, Kalatop forest, Dinkund peak, and Chamunda mandir. Two or three days trip should be able to cover most of the place in Dalhousie.

This place has a pleasant climate and alluring valleys which makes it the ideal place for tourists to explore the Indian treasures and temples. Also, there is a lot to offer to adventure lovers.

You may start your day by witnessing the Sunrise view from the Dainind peak. There is a temple Mata Polhani temple. This temple offers a 360-degree view with fragrant air. Chamera lake is another tourist attraction in Dalhousie.

MCLEODGANJ

Mcleodganj is a peaceful suburb near Dharamshala. Mcleo dganj has Tibetan culture and delicious street food with various restaurant options. If you are planning to visit Dharamshala, Mcleodganj must be on the list. Mcleodganj has vibrant hills and landscapes. Many people visit there for meditation for their soul rejuvenation.

Mcleodganj is just .2 km away from Dharamshala it is also known as Mini Lhasa. This beautiful place is a  spiritual retreat as numbers of meditation centers and ashrams are there. Trekkers enjoy trekking in Mcleodganj also there are numerous things to do in Mcleodganj. Bhagsu falls is one of the tourist attractions in Mcleodganj.
