The Melaka-Manipal Medical College (MMC) is a private medical school located in Melaka, Malaysia. It was established in 1979 by a group of Indian doctors who had worked for the British Indian Army during World War II and decided to start their medical college after they returned home.

Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), formerly known as Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Education & Research Center (MCPRC) was established on 7th February 1975 by Dr. K G S Shankaranarayanan who later went on to become a member of parliament representing Chennithala constituency from 1989 till 2004 when he resigned due to corruption charges against him during his tenure at MAHE which had run into billions worth rupees without any transparency whatsoever
